CES asked the residents of a small estate in Middleton if they wanted a sprinkler system to function in the case of fire at any of the dwellings.

The residents were totally against the idea. Instead CES in partnership with RBH proposed structural alterations to accommodate a rear escape door with existing telecommunications and heating systems adapted to facilitate those alterations.

Secondly a Disabled Discrimination Act compliant ramp and handrails were installed to those rear doors to aid easy escape from the bungalows in case of fire.
